OHSAS 18001 represents a specification that can be applied to all types of
 companies and divisions. It involves a health and
labour protection certification system that has been specified by internationally certification bodies. Experienced safety auditors at TÜV Rheinland perform audits of companies in accordance with this specification. The OHSAS 18001 safety and health management system can be integrated into existing management systems as specified in ISO 14001 (environmental management system) or ISO 9001 (quality management system).
OHSAS 18001 standard (Occupational health and safety management system) was created in 1999 by the principle international certification Entities and by some important standardization Entities like BSI, as an international standard of reference was missing.
Its aims is to provide the market just a single standard for Occupational health and safety management system.
